Integra Gold: Bringing Resourcefulness to the Resource Industry

Integra Gold, a premier gold exploration company, launched the Gold Rush Challenge, the industry’s largest ever crowd-sourced campaign.  Armed with 6 terabytes of digitized data from over 75 years of mining and exploration, 1300 applicants from 83 countries mined data and pitched plans aimed at unlocking the hidden potential of Canada’s next great gold discovery. Five finalists were set to win their share of $1 million on March 8, 2016 at a finale event during the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada convention.

Smithcom worked with Integra to develop a communications strategy and promote the Gold Rush Challenge leading up to the finale and following the event with the winning teams.  Smithcom secured coverage in a wide variety of news publications within Canada and internationally, including featuring the winning’s team Virtual Reality technology live on BNN, Canada’s business news network.  Integra’s efforts to bring resourcefulness to the resource industry were applauded by industry stakeholders, peer companies, investors and the municipal, provincial and federal governments.
